  Pass an ISO Manufacturer Calibration Audit

In order for a manufacturer to pass an ISO calibration audit they must demonstrate that they have firm controls in place for the management, additions and subtractions of their comprehensive equipment list. Utilize MQC and its quality assurance programs, accreditations and proprietary calibration software as a resource to make sure that you not only meet but exceed ISO requirements. MQC goes one step further and assign’s each precision measurement test instrument a barcode number and instrument I.D. so that our customers can better track equipment history and easily identify model number, serial number, asset number and even location.

Proper Recall / Calibration Cycles

The number one question we are commonly asked by our customers is how long should we wait to calibrate our equipment and what are the risks of extending our calibration cycles. You should never consider calibration a necessary annoyance or perform calibrations simply to pass an audit. Out of tolerance instruments may:

Definition of Calibration

What is calibration? Calibration is a comparison between the measurements of one device with a known magnitude or correctness known as the “Standard” and a second device known as the test instrument. The Standard is often no less than 4 times the accuracy of the test instrument that it is calibrating. Once the test instrument is calibrated and deemed within tolerance the item needs to be able to “hold the calibration” when used in the stated environment conditions over a reasonable amount of time dictated by usage or manufacture specifications.

A standard calibration does not include adjustment/adjustments to make a test instrument more accurate. Adjustments and repairs should be handled by experienced technician. At MQC all our adjustments / repairs are handled by our Original Equipment Manufacturer (“OEM”) trained technicians.
